A space to understand what you are going through
Fertility can affect far more than fertility itself. It can influence how you see yourself, your relationships and the future you had imagined for your life.
Therapy with Georga offers a space to process what you are experiencing and understand what this journey may be bringing up for you.

There is no single way to experience the fertility journey, and no single reason for seeking therapy.
You may be trying to conceive, considering fertility treatment or egg freezing, processing a diagnosis or test result, or questioning whether you want children at all. You may be considering donor conception, surrogacy or solo parenthood, moving through loss, or facing a decision about what comes next.
You may know exactly what you want, but find that life is not unfolding according to the future you had hoped for. Or you may be uncertain about what you want and find that uncertainty itself has become difficult to live with.
For some, therapy is focused and time-limited, offering support through a particular period or decision. For others, it is longer-term work that explores wider emotional difficulties and patterns that may be connected to what is happening now.
The work is shaped around you and can change as your needs change.
The fertility journey rarely stays within fertility
Fertility and reproductive experiences can affect almost every part of life.
Trying to conceive can become an emotionally consuming experience. The waiting, uncertainty and repeated disappointment can affect your mood, relationships and ability to feel present in other areas of your life.
There may be grief for time that has passed, a relationship that ended, a future that has changed, or the family you imagined having in a different way. You may feel angry, frightened, disappointed or left behind.
You may find yourself comparing your life to the lives of those around you, struggling with pregnancy announcements or finding that friendships and family relationships feel different. You may feel isolated, misunderstood or exhausted by having to explain what you are going through.
There may also be questions about identity, control and uncertainty. Fertility can affect the way you experience your body, your sense of self and your place among friends and family.
At times, it can also bring existing emotional difficulties to the surface. Anxiety may become more intense. Fears around loss or abandonment may be activated. Ways of coping that have helped you manage difficult situations in the past may no longer feel sufficient.
Therapy offers a space to think honestly about what you are experiencing and to understand what it means for you, without pressure to arrive at a particular answer.
This work is for both women and men. Fertility and reproductive experiences can be experienced in very different ways, and both deserve space to be understood in their own right.

A therapeutic space shaped around you
Therapy begins with understanding what has brought you to this point and what you would like support with.
You do not need to arrive with a clear explanation of what is wrong, or know exactly what you want from therapy. Together, we can begin to understand what you are experiencing and what would be helpful to explore.
Some sessions may focus on what is happening in your life now. Others may look at how you have learned to cope, the relationships and experiences that have shaped you, or patterns that you are beginning to recognise in yourself.
The pace and focus of the work will depend on what you need. Some people benefit from a defined period of support around a particular situation. Others choose to continue with longer-term therapy as they develop a deeper understanding of themselves and what they need.
Therapy is a space where you do not have to minimise what you are feeling, hold everything together or have all the answers.
You can begin with where you are.
What to know before booking
If you would prefer not to begin with a consultation call, you are welcome to book directly into a first therapy session.
